RYAN Reynolds and Anchorman star Will Ferrell could soon be embarking on a pub crawl in a town near you - Wrexham in fact.

The Canadian superstar and co-owner of Wrexham AFC appeared on BBC's The One Show on Wednesday.

He spoke about his first year he and Rob have experienced at the helm of the club.

He said: "This has been an amazing adventure, not just for me but also for my partner in this endeavour Rob McElhenney."

And he was full of praise for the people of Wrexham.

He added: "The Wrexham community has been amazing. They were certainly amazing before us and they've been amazing since we jumped in."

He also said he had gone from knowing not much about the sport to "living, breathing, chewing and blowing bubbles with football".

Ryan, who has been busy promoting his new move The Adam Project, then went on to say he could be bringing another Hollywood A-lister to Wrexham with him - Will Ferrell.

He said there would be two things on the agenda - football and beer.

He told the show: “He’d love to come to Wrexham.

“He’d be blown away by the stadium. The Racecourse ground is one of the oldest stadiums in the world and the club is one of the oldest clubs in the world. 

"He’s enamoured with history. 

"And how much fun would it be to wander around on a little pub crawl throughout Wrexham with Will Ferrell?”

Surely Wrexham fans would love to see this happen.

And, with the club sitting third in the National League table on the back of four straight wins, there is sure to be a warm welcome for Ryan and his pal Will Ferrell in Wrexham.
