A FLINTSHIRE-based charity is set to mark 20 years of being there to help those struggling with their mental health.

In June, the KIM-Inspire team, based in Holywell, will celebrate two decades worth of hard work in supporting those who need it most in their local community.

By now, the charity has three hubs - its main one located in Holywell, as well as one in Ty Pawb in Wrexham and a further site in Prestatyn.

The team run several types of groups, for momen, men and young people. These include Zoom groups as well face to face groups.

They range from gardening and DIY to craft, African drumming and Yoga.

People can refer themselves via the website or they can be referred by a health professional.

Later this year, a party will be held in recognition of what has been achieved by the charity during its 20-year existence.

KIM-Inspire's Barbara Masters said: "We are having a party to celebrate our 20th Birthday at the Holywell Hub in Park Lane on Wednesday, June 22 from 12.30 to 3.30pm, where we will have live music, activities, face painting, food and more.

"In all three hubs we run, we have now partnered with Betsi Cadwaladr and run iCan which are drop in sessions each week where people can pop in, have a cup of tea and a chat as well as access advice about issues such as Benefits and Housing and take part in some organised activities. "These are open to the communities of each area as well as our existing clients.

"We have kept running all through the pandemic via zoom and ran our groups that way to make sure people weren’t too isolated."
