THE Flintshire Jobs Fair returns this spring and is looking for local businesses to help support it.

The free event is being organised by Communities For Work Flintshire, Jobcentre Plus and Careers Wales at Deeside Leisure Centre in April.

It will be a great opportunity to promote businesses and find potential employees.

In previous years over 800 people have attended, and the event was supported by numerous employers with over 500 vacancies available in a variety of sectors.

There will also be practical advice on hand including a CV checkpoint area and help to write application forms from Careers Wales.

The event is being held at Deeside Leisure Centre from 10am -2pm on Thursday April 28 and organisers are now appealing to local employers for their support.

Sam Rowlands MS for North Wales, said he was delighted to see the fair returning to the county after an absence of three years.

He said: “I am pleased to promote this event which helps both employers looking to recruit and those looking for work.

“It is an excellent initiative and brings together local employers, service providers and job seekers to help those people who want to work in this area.

“It also gives genuine job seekers the opportunity to meet with prospective employers and discuss their requirements in various fields including retail, construction and the healthcare and leisure industry.

“I would urge local businesses to support this event and sign up to take part.”
