A STUDY has found that Wrexham is the worst place in Wales to take your driving test.

In fact, the research carried out by A-Plan Insurance, shows that the town is the only place in the country with a pass rate under 50%.

Pwllheli is North Wales' highest-ranking place on the list, making it into the top 10.

A-Plan Insurance's analysis showed that drivers from The Vale of Glamorgan’s Barry were the best in tests.

The town's pass rate was 64.8%, with 1,096 people taking their test there and 710 of those passing.

A DVSA spokesperson said: "All candidates are assessed to the same standard and the result of their test is entirely dependent on their performance on the day,”.
