A FLINTSHIRE salon recently celebrated yet another year of success, having been trading in the town for over three decades by now.

Altered Images Hair Salon, based on Church Street in Flint, recently marked 34 years of taking care of its customers.

The business was opened on January 4 1988, by a then 20-year-old Helen Cowley - who still runs the salon to this day.

The salon is very much a family-run business with Helen’s sister Jane also working for them along with their cousin, Sarah Thomas and apprentice, Mia Williams.

In total, 15 hair stylists have worked for the Altered Images over the space of their 34 years in business.

Reflecting on the last year and the 34th anniversary of the business, salon owner Helen said: "It was difficult for all business during covid and the pandemic but we loved being able to re open and fix and cut everyone’s lockdown hair.

"I’m extremely proud to have been able to run a business for this long especially during these difficult times. This would not have happened without my great loyal staff and customers, who I am extremely thankful for.

"They are now more like friends for their continued support and here’s to another 34 years!"
