Despite a festive season of the unknown for a North Wales theatre, the show must go on. Oh yes it does!

Following the Welsh Government's changes to covid-19 rules, Theatr Clwyd, in Mold, was forced to close last year's panto, Beauty and The Beast, on Christmas Eve.

The Flintshire venue quickly moved the production onto the big cinema screen, allowing people a chance at viewing the magical show.

Over the weekend they announced the title of this year's show will be Robin Hood the Rock 'n' Roll Panto, opening in November.

Robin Hood will be directed by Tamara Harvey, Theatr Clwyd's artistic director who made her debut in pantomime directing this year.

The show will once again be penned by award-winning writer Christian Patterson, with this being his fifth panto for the venue.

Get ready for the biggest rock, soul and pop songs, fabulous frocks, dazzling sets, and the anarchic panto puppets!

Grab your arrows, pull on your tights, Robin's coming home and the future's looking bright!

Priority booking for members is open from January 17, allowing members priority booking for two weeks. Booking for schools, groups and general booking opens on Tuesday, February 1.
