Nearly nine in 10 adults in Flintshire have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.

Public Health Wales data shows 109,207 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to January 9 – 87% of the area's adults.

They make up part of the 112,536 people who have been given at least one jab – 90% of the over-18 population.

Figures also show 2,655 16 and 17-year-olds in Flintshire (78% of the age group) and 4,979 12 to 15-year-olds (60%) had received a first dose by then.

The data for each age group in the area shows:

16 to 17 – 1,790 fully vaccinated (52%)

18 to 29 – 15,851 fully vaccinated (78%)

30 to 39 – 14,897 fully vaccinated (75%)

40 to 49 – 16,486 fully vaccinated (85%)

50 to 54 – 10,842 fully vaccinated (91%)

55 to 59 – 10,809 fully vaccinated (92%)

60 to 64 – 9,294 fully vaccinated (93%)

65 to 69 – 8,147 fully vaccinated (95%)

70 to 74 – 9,129 fully vaccinated (97%)

75 to 79 – 6,289 fully vaccinated (97%)

80 and over – 7,463 fully vaccinated (97%)
