A MAIN road in Flintshire is partially blocked after a car struck a young pedestrian.
The incident has occurred on Bryn Road in Bryn-y-Baal, near the Argoed High School.
The road connects Buckley and Mold and there is slow traffic in the area.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 3.30pm today (January 11) we received a call from Welsh Ambulance Service reporting a road traffic collision on Cherry Drive, Bryn-y-Baal.
"The report stated that a car was involved in a collision with a young male close to a bus stop.
"Officers attended and temporarily closed the road while the male was assessed by an ambulance crew.
"The male was then conveyed to hospital."
As of 9pm, the road remains closed for forensic collision investigation work.
