Time is running out for artists to apply to showcase their music in Wrexham this spring.

FOCUS Wales is the International Showcase Festival in the heart of Wrexham, providing emerging artists from many different genres with the opportunity to perform.

Solo artists and bands have till January 17 to apply for the festival.

This year the festival will be taking place from May 5 to May 7 and is full of different events, from live music to conference and film events.

The event showcases over 250 artists every year across 20 stages and it is thought that it will welcome a total of 15,000 people this summer.

Echo and the Bunnymen have been announced as the festivals first headline act, with more to be announced soon.

Andy Jones, the Co-Founder and Music Programmer for FOCUS Wales said: "We're excited to be planning for our 11th annual edition of the FOCUS Wales international showcase festival in Wrexham this May, and we welcome artists of all genres to apply to take part.

"The event is all about connecting new Welsh talent with music industry leaders from across the globe, and we're excited to discover a next generation of artist this May.

To apply, artists must provide details of original songs or cover songs, their genre and any upcoming or past gigs.
