A WREXHAM company that has made more than 94,000 doughnuts has been shortlisted for a prestigious food award.

Set up in 2018 by James Duckers and Leigh Brigham, the Doughnutology van has been selling its handmade, indulgent treats in Wrexham, Flintshire and Cheshire.

James noticed a trend in fancy doughnuts in America and Ireland, and wanted to be the first to bring the concept to North Wales.

"It's been really popular, we have grown year on year. We take it to workplaces and sell out almost every time.

"We are up to about 23 favours and we change them with the seasons.

"After three years of hard work its great to be nominated for an award that celebrates the whole of Wales."
