A Wrexham-based company is hosting an event later this month in support of a local cause.

Composite decking firm Ecodek are holding a collection day for Wrexham Foodbank on Friday, January 14.

Donations are being accepted at their headquarters on the Wrexham Industrial Estate.

Ecodek digital marketing manager Jess Brown, said: "Ecodek have chosen to host a collection day on behalf of the Wrexham Foodbank as we try to support our local community in as many ways as possible.

"We want to raise awareness and donations for the foodbank as during the coronavirus pandemic, foodbanks have seen the need for support rise even further than usual, and we understand January can typically be a tough financial time for many."

Wrexham Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks across the UK, which are working to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities.
