These days libraries are home to a whole multitude of services but they've long been a community hub.

From storytime and discovering a love of reading to hosting exhibitions, and creating links with local groups and schools, they are often at the centre of a town or village.

They provide links to the outside world for many, with the mobile library services bringing the shelves to some who may otherwise not have the opportunity.
