THE body of a woman was discovered in Flintshire over the weekend, police have confirmed.
North Wales Police say they received a call from a member of the public at 10.45am on Saturday, December 18.
The body was found near Pantymwyn, not far from Mold.
Police say they are not currently treating the death as suspicious.
A statement from North Wales Police regarding the incident read: "At 10.45am on Saturday (18 December) we received a call from a member of the public reporting the discovery of a woman’s body near Pantymwyn. It was established that the woman was found close to an area known as Devil’s Gorge.
"Officers and an ambulance crew attended the scene and confirmed that the woman was deceased. The death is not currently being treated as suspicious."
