YOUNGSTERS at a school have been taking on their very own I'm A Celebrity challenges.

Families from Ysgol y Foryd, Kinmel Bay, have been involved and have been connecting with residents at Kinmel Lodge care home.

Anwen Maher, Family Liaison Officer (FLO), said: "This is part of our community work.

"I have recently been sticking letters of the alphabet around businesses in Towyn and Kinmel Bay. The families have been walking around and finding the letters and then have had to jumble them up to make a winning word that is associated with I'm A Celebrity.

"Once all our entries are in, then the residents of Kimmel Lodge are going to judge the drawing of the winning word and the winner will win a family ticket to Gwrych Castle that they have kindly donated."

Children have also been busy doing class challenges dressed like the celebs in the castle.

Anwen added: "The children have enjoyed finding the insects in the custard, finding insects in a bowl of wiggly worms (spaghetti) and many more. The videos of the challenges are going to be sent to Kinmel Lodge too and they get to judge the challenges. Our winner will crowned the 'Class of the Castle.'

"It has been a brilliant way of getting our community involved and we are so very proud of our children."
