A POLICE investigation has been launched after a player suffered 'significant injuries' in a match involving an Airbus UK Broughton FC academy team.
North Wales Police's West Conwy Coastal team has issued an appeal on Friday (November 26) over the incident - which occurred on August 15, 2021 at around noon at Llandudno Football Club.
During a game between Airbus U16s and Llandudno U16s, a Llandudno player sustained "significant injuries" to his face, after what police describe as an "altercation".
The incident occurred with about two minutes left in the match.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward via the live webchat online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 21000568454.
