THE SITE of Flintshire's iconic Duke of Lancaster cruise ship is hosting a Christmas market as its renaissance continues.
The ship, which has been docked at Llanerch-y-Mor docks since 1979, was home to leisure and retail complex, named the Fun Ship, in the early 1980s.
But since then nothing has happened there. But Antony Rowley, of Llanerch y Mor Dock Holdings Ltd, is determined to rejuvenate the site.
In the summer, it held its first event in 30 years - which was a success. And in December, it will host a Christmas market.
Antony said: "We will have lots of local stalls, from soaps and perfume to Christmas decorations.
"There will also be an array of food stalls - including wood fired pizza, German sausage, pig roast, and a bar.
"The street food event in the summer was a resounding success, and we're confident this one will be as well."
It is a free event and will run on Sunday, December 12 between 9am and 4.30pm.
