A POPULAR event featuring a spectacular torch lit procession will return to Conwy this December.

The Annual Medieval Torch Lit Parade will be back in the walled town on Saturday, December 11. The parade - featuring dozen of armoured knights and ‘their ladies’, will start at 5.45pm.

The event will also feature street entertainers, musicians, choirs, morris dancers, drummers plus sword fighting on Lancaster Square.

Toby Tunstall, event organiser, said: “People have been waiting for the return of this event with baited breath. We’ve got the torches out again.

“We have the drummers from Batala Bangor taking part and fire performers from Inferno. We also have the sword fighters who were absolutely incredible last time.

“It is safe to say that thousands of people usually turn out for the event.”

The Torch Lit Parade will be starting from Castle Square by Conwy Castle at 5.45pm and will travel down Castle Street, up the High Street and finish in Lancaster Square.
