A WOMAN has been charged after failing a roadside breathalyser test.
North Wales Police's Roads Unit has said that a 31-year-old woman was arrested in Wrexham shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday after failing the roadside breath test.
However, she failed to provide a further breath test sample while in custody - and was subsequently charged with failing to provide a specimen.
A Roads Unit spokesperson said: "She was originally stopped due to her manner of driving and we soon realised that all was not well - a strong smell of alcohol within the vehicle and slurred speech.
"We took her to custody where she failed to provide a further breath test sample - so she has now been charged to appear before Wrexham Magistrates Court on December 3.
"Our patrols will continue, but with Christmas just around the corner, we'd like to remind you that our annual Anti Drink and Drug Drive Campaign is due to launch shortly - so if you are arranging parties, make sure you're also planning how you'll get home."
