A LUXURY festive shopping event will support local independent businesses as well as helping to raise much needed funds for Nightingale House Hospice.

The event, at the Rossett Hall Hotel, will showcase a range of Christmas gifts from local boutique owners, designers and artisan makers and will also offer a day out for the family with festive treats and activities.

Held over two days next Thursday (November 18) and Friday (November 19), the first evening will be an exclusive ticket-only event when shoppers will receive a glass of fizz and mince pie on arrival.

There will be an array of boutique stalls selling beautiful, handcrafted products, cards, and delicious confectionaries.

Guest speaker Margaret Carter, chief executive of Patchwork Pate will share her local business success story.

She said “I feel privileged to have been asked to talk at Nightingale House's luxury shopping evening, I have a great respect for all the hard work and support they have provided to the community. "I am passionate about personal and business experiences and sharing things I have learnt that are difficult, it means a great deal to inspire folks of all ages.”

Hospice fundraiser, Sarah Povey, added: “We are delighted to be holding our luxury shopping event at the beautiful setting of Rossett Hall Hotel.

"It’s been a challenging time for the hospice due to pandemic as so many of our face-to-face events were unable to take place however were very much looking forward to be getting back to some normality and really getting in the festive spirit at this year’s luxury shopping event.

"We’re looking forward to seeing all our wonderful supporters in person and very grateful to Rossett Hall who have been so accommodating in hosting this event.”

The second day is open to the public giving all guests the chance to browse the many wonderful stalls. Cwtch Ceramics will have a workshop between 4pm and 6pm when children and adults can decorate a bauble or Christmas mug at an additional cost. There will also be an appearance by Santa between 2pm and 7pm and children will receive a Christmas treat.

Admission for the second day is £2.50.
