Today's nostalgia gallery includes some Leader archive memories, and a reader has shared some of his own photos.

Ian Evans, a member of the Leader's Local Bygones Facebook group recently posted several images.

The first is of Ian's late father at Acton Infants School in 1931. Young Donald Evans is pictured second from the left in the middle row standing.

The second photo Ian shared took many ladies on a trip down memory lane.

He said: "Some of you may remember Mayfair Fashions, on Egerton Street. Here is a photo of the staff. My mum, Gwyneth Evans, is on the far right."

Sandra Phoenix said: "I loved that shop, had lots of lovely dresses from there always something different."

Eva Jarvis shared what many agreed with: "I remember it as a beautiful ladies clothes shop."

Gloria Pryde remembered a particular purchase: "Had a lovely green suit from there once in the sale for 10 shillings, queued from 6 o'clock, worth it though."

Linda Jones said: "It was still there in the 1970s, I had a smock dress from there."

Jo-Anne Bidmead has fond memories: "What a wonderful shop, I remember my mum buying dresses from there for Ron and Mary's ballroom dances on Saturday nights."

But for many it was the place they bought their wedding dress for their big day.

Pam Challinor remembers her visit: "I had my wedding dress from there, I went on my own and was so looked after.

"Staff were amazing and gave me a description of my dress for the Wrexham Leader.

"Used to love seeing all the photos of married couples in the Wrexham Leader each week."
