WREXHAM AFC fans have been welcoming club owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds to the reality of being a supporter.

The Hollywood pals were in the stands at the Maidenhead clash on Tuesday night - their first experience of watching Wrexham live.

Deadpool actor Reynolds described the experience of watching his first game as “soul-deadening, evil and gorgeous”.

The Reds slipped to a 3-2 defeat at the York Road Stadium.

But, reacting to the game, Rob suggested he and Canadian superstar Ryan will be in Wrexham on Saturday as they take on Torquay.

Rob said: "We didn’t want our first win to be away anyway.Congrats to @MUFCYorkRoad on a tough game. See you at Y Cae Ras."

Fans were quick to welcome the lads to the reality of being a football fan.

Twitter user Donography replied: "Nice philosophy.

"You’ll have a full house at the Cae Ras on Saturday, enjoy your day in Wrecsam.

"Thank you for everything you and @VancityReynolds have done for this town."

Ozwxm replied: "Unbelievable lads . What a first game to cut your teeth over. Ups and downs of being a Wrexham."

Fan Matt Jones tweeted: "Now you understand our pain.

"See you Saturday, enjoy your stay."

But Miriam Bevan simply said: "Finally! Croseo i Gymru!"

Elsewhere on social media, fans have been urging The Racecourse to give Ryan and Rob a welcome to remember.

Craig Jones said: "As the good old saying goes, let’s move onto Saturday and give Rob and Ryan a very loud and proud Wrexham welcome."

Jackie Mason added: "Welcome to the real world of being a Wrexham fan although I believe they have been streaming but don’t get the atmosphere and excitement."

Wrexham are due to host Torquay United at The Racecourse on Saturday. Kick off is 3pm.
