MORE than 20 Wrexham AC members have been muddy marvels!

There was an excellent turnout in the North Wales Cross Country League fixture at Treborth, Bangor and leading the way for Wrexham AC was Ryan Davis, the fourth senior male in 30.16. Joel Gomes was eighth in 30.42, with Gary Norgrave (45th in 35.03) and Richard Westwood (122nd in 41.53) as the senior men finished first in Division Two.

Linda Jones was the leading Wrexham AC racer in the senior women's event, 55th in 29.32.

Karen Owens crossed the line 89th in 34.01, while Gillian Csizmadia was 104th in 36.54 and 38.17 saw Alex Edwards in 111th.

The senior women were 11th in Division Two.

In the M80 class, Peter Norman's 47.29 saw him finish as runner-up. John Tipping was fourth in 54.12.

Harvey Davis (22.56) was fourth in the U17 men's race and Joel Gomes (17.24) crossed the line 11th in the U15 boys' event.

In the U15 girls' race, Ella Davis finished fifth in 10.13 and a time of 14.26 saw Ben Peters 18th in the U13 boys' event.

Sophie Forgrave (17th in 9.04), Evie Hughes (19th in 9.18) and Annabelle Jones (21st in 10.05) ran in the U13 girls' race.

Spencer Jones (8.23) claimed seventh in the U11 boys' event, with Rhys Jones (9.49) 23rd, while Bethan Roberts (7.11) crossed the line sixth in the U11 girls' race, with Grace Hughes (8.08) 13th.

Ian James' magical mystery marathon tour has finally come to an end!

After competing in the Berlin, London and Manchester marathons, he took part in Liverpool, finishing 31st, and the first M60, in 2-57.36.

Seven Deestriders were there when the curtain came down on the Rock 'n' Roll race weekend in Liverpool.

Max Dowell ran personal bests in the 5k (20.25) and the 10k (41.36). North Wales V50 10k bronze medalist David Goodwin improved on his run at Flintshire with a sub-50 effort (49.23) and wife Louise, who took the V40 silver last week, ran 2-07 in the half-marathon.

Meanwhile, there was an excellent pb for Linda Turley (1-50), with John Owen so close to a sub two-hour himself with 2-02.

In the marathon, husband and wife team Nige Parr and Andrea Wadcock Parr completed the tough course in 3-56.
