DETAILS of this year's Remembrance Sunday event have been released by Rhosllanerchrugog Community Council.

Last year's annual commemoration of the British men and women who served and lost their lives in the two World Wars and later conflicts was cancelled in Rhos.

This year, the Rhos & District British Legion Remembrance Day Service will go ahead at the Johnstown Cenotaph on Sunday, November 14.

Organisers Rhos Community Council say there will be no church service or parade and an official road closure will be in place on High Street and surrounding roads from approximately 10.15am until 11.15am.

A spokesperson for the council said: "The Act of Remembrance and all other relevant announcements will be pre-recorded and played via speakers for everyone to enjoy. The public are welcome to attend, although we encourage attendees to socially distance where possible."
