A UFO investigator is calling on celebrities who have expressed an interest in the extra-terrestrial to join him in Flintshire to help him communicate with aliens.

Russ Kellett has been investigating UFO sightings and strange phenomena in North Wales for 30 years.

And now, due to an increase in interest in UFOs and the paranormal, during lockdown, Russ wants to bring celebrities to the region and use his skills and experience to put them in touch with aliens.

In recent months, celebrities Gemma Collins and Tom Fletcher have spoken about their interest in aliens.

This month, McFly singer Fletcher, who is currently appearing on Strictly, told the Daily Star that he had a lifelong fear of aliens.

And last year, former TOWIE star Collins told the Mirror that her mum Joan had an extraterrestrial encounter with an alien with "dead eyes" aboard a train.

Singers Kim Wilde and Robbie Williams have also spoken about an interest in UFOs and aliens.

Russ wants them to come to North Wales and discover the truth for themselves.

He says areas like the Dee Estuary, where he carries out research with fellow investigator Lynn Murphy of Connah's Quay, are hotspots for sightings and encounters.

He said: "To them and any other celebrties who are getting in to this, if they want to get involved they can get in touch with me. I want them to know its genuine, we're not after money, we want to go out for a couple of nights and hopefully make contact."

Last year, the UK's answer to the X-Files were published for the first time, revealing North Wales to be a hotbed for UFO sightings.

Claimed sightings of UFOs received by a now-defunct "UFO Desk" unit within the RAF have been published on the UK Government's website.

The RAF took the decision to wind up the unit in 2009, after concluding that in more than 50 years, no received report had ever disclosed any evidence of a potential threat.

Previously, records from the unit were given to the National Archives, often initially classified before being released after a specific number of years.

But the most recent reports received by the RAF have been placed online following a Freedom of Information Act request.

The final documented reports from 2009 record 626 sightings in the UK, including reports made in Anglesey, Flintshire, Wrexham, Gwynedd and Denbighshire.

One of the latest reports was in February 2020 at Llansadwrn, Anglesey. A caller reported seeing a "very bright light" in the sky.

Russ believes the UFO sightings in North Wales are linked to an incident dubbed the UK's Roswell or "Roswelsh Incident". On January 23, 1974, lights were observed in the sky above the mountains in Merionethshire and strange noises were also reported.

One explanation put forward is that what was seen and heard was generated by an earthquake combined with sightings of a bright meteor.

However, Russ, who is due to publish a book on the subject this year, believes that the truth has yet to be revealed.

He added that it was the last chance for anyone with information about the Berwyn Mountains incident to contact him and contribute to what he believes will be the definitive book on what happened.
