A DEVELOPER has conformed work is set to start on new homes on the site of the former steelworks at Brymbo.

Taylor Wimpey North West announced that it has completed the acquisition of land which formed part of the former Brymbo Steelworks site, near Wrexham.

Work is now due to commence on site.

The development, to be named Coed Issa, will provide a collection of 70 new three and four bedroom homes designed for first time buyers to growing families.

All the homes will be available for private sale, with a combination of two and 2.5-storey, semi-detached and detached homes.

Taylor Wimpey North West received reserved matters planning from Wrexham County Council in July 2021.

The first homes are expected to be available to buy from December 2021 and completed by Summer 2022.
