POPULAR radio quiz Pop Master had a Wrexham contestant test their knowledge this morning

Hosted on BBC Radio Two by veteran DJ Ken Bruce during his daily morning show Andrea Price, a social housing worker, took on the iconic quiz choosing "hello and welcome" as her bonus questions.

The quiz features questions on pop music from right across the decades.

Andrea told Ken that during her spare time she likes to attend music festivals and had just got back from volunteering at the Isle of Wight Festival and was due to attend Focus Wales event in Wrexham this weekend.

In her round Andrea scored 24 out of a possible 39.

Her opponent, Craig Phillips, an IT consultant of Nottinghamshire, who was celebrating his 49th birthday, chose "only a rose" as his bonus questions and went on to score 24.

So there was a tie break.

This was won by Craig who went through to the final round, three in ten when he had to try and name three hits by a nominated artist in ten seconds. Today it was Spice Girl Geri Horner (née Halliwell).

Sadly he failed to name three but won a blue tooth speaker and had 30 seconds to say hello to his family and friends and asked for a signed photo of Ken and one of DJ Gary Davies for his mum!

Andrea too got to do a shout out to her family and friends and won a ‘One Year Out’ T-shirt.
