Libraries Week

In 2021, Libraries Week takes place between October 4-10, celebrating the nation's much-loved libraries and highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

The week is about discovering the range of things you can do at your library, from play and learning for children, to managing your health, to finding a job, a hobby, starting a business or possibly finding the best book you have ever read! Why not visit your local library and see what they can do for you?

Knit and Natter

Knitting isn't just about creating new cardigans or socks; research has found it can reduce depression and anxiety, slow down the onset of dementia, distract from chronic pain and can lower your heart rate by 11 beats per minute.

Throw in a dollop of a good old natter in a comfortable and relaxed environment and you could be on your way to improving your health and wellbeing. Knit and Natter sessions are now taking place in Cefn Mawr and Rhos libraries on a weekly basis.

So whether you're a beginner or an experienced knitter why not join these groups, where a warm welcome and a cup of tea awaits you?

Welsh Book Review

Tu ôl i'r Awyr gan Megan Angharad Hunter

Tu ôl ir Awyr by Megan Angharad Hunter

Tu ôl i'r Awyr by Megan Angharad Hunter

Dyma nofel arloesol gan awdur ifanc talentog. Mae'n dilyn taith dau gymeriad yn eu harddegau hwyr, Deian ac Anest, a'u perthynas ryfeddol drwy angst eu bywydau. Mae'n nofel sy'n mynd i wneud i chi chwerthin yn uchel, crio, a synnu gan ddawn anhygoel Megan Hunter i dreiddio'n ddwfn i feddyliau dau gymeriad a fydd yn aros yn y cof am amser hir. Mae'n debyg na fyddwch wedi darllen nofel debyg i hon yn y Gymraeg o'r blaen. Mae hon yn sefyll mewn cae ar ei phen ei hun, ac mae ei darllen wir yn brofiad.
