WREXHAM AFC features in the official launch trailer for the FIFA 22 console game.

Last month, the club's Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and RobMcElhenney revealed that Wrexham will be among the teams that can be selected under ‘Rest of World’ during an amusing video.

Now, the club has been featured in the game's latest advert, which features David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Kylian Mbappé, Trent Alexander Arnold, and Son Heung-min.

The trailer also features David Alba and Phil Foden, as well as pundits Alex Scott and Rio Ferdinand.

EA SPORTS confirmed that a multi-year innovation partnership with Wrexham AFC has been agreed ahead of the launch of FIFA 22.

The partnership will also see EA SPORTS supporting Wrexham AFC’s work out in the local community via a brand new initiative with Wrexham Glyndwr University, and the provision of a community lounge at The Racecourse in future.

Humphrey Ker, Wrexham AFC Executive Director, said: “There are only a small number of brands within football that can be classed as iconic. Everyone is truly excited about Wrexham joining FIFA 22. The co-chairmen talked about making Wrexham a global force when they became its custodians and are now able, with our fans, to take on the Rest of the World, as part of that journey.”

Wrexham fans reacted to spotted Ryan and Rob in the club's home and away shirts in the trailer.

The RobRyanRed - Wrexham AFC Podcast tweeted: "Being in #FIFA22 wasn't enough, now we're even in the launch trailer."
