A renowned North Wales theatre is entering into the most exciting, and critical, period in its history.

As of April 2021, Theatr Clwyd, in Mold, is now run by an independent charitable trust and trading group, having been run by Flintshire County Council since opening in 1976.

This offers an opportunity for the originating group of seven trustees to appoint some brilliant colleagues with a wide range of professional, and personal lived experience, to ensure a vibrant and equitable future for Theatr Clwyd, and in turn for arts in Wales.

Theatr Clwyd are looking for individuals who are engaged, interested, and can offer their experience to support the growth and improvement of the venue during this critical time.

It may be that you have professional expertise to offer, but you may also have a different perspective or lived experience to bring to the board that would be equally important.

Theatr Clwyd are looking for candidates with experience, skills, and expertise in the following areas: theatre and/or wider arts sector financial management, experience of trading subsidiaries and hospitality, heath, social care or community benefit/Third sector, and finally, Wales Arts and/or business sector.
