AN innovative new restaurant will open its doors at the Plassey Holiday Park, Wrexham, later this month

Hospitality and Leisure Operators One Hundred Knights have now confirmed that their very first Blk Sheep Baa & Grill will open its doors for business at the Plassey Holiday Park, Wrexham, on Monday 25 October.

Following the success of the Three Eagles Bar & Grill in Llangollen, the Blk Sheep Baa & Grill will be the second restaurant venture in the One Hundred Knights portfolio of leisure and hospitality venues.

Based on the former old dairy ‘Shippon’ site, the restaurant is just five miles from the centre of Wrexham and has close links to Llangollen, Chester and surrounding areas.

Heading up the Blk Sheep team, One Hundred Knights Director of Restaurants & Bars Adam Gaunt-Evans has worked in close collaboration with Blk Sheep Development Chef Dan Gaskin and Operations Manager Katie Ince to conceptualise and develop an appealing all-day menu and dining experience that will cater to a wide range of customers.

Adam said: “The Blk Sheep Baa & Grill brand represents a new generation of British casual dining, where our focus is on serving high-quality delicious food and drinks and creating an enjoyable wholesome experience for all who visit. We’re taking the level of cooking from traditionally high-quality restaurants and applying the efficiency, informality and accessibility of the casual dining sector.

“Our ethos is all about bringing British traditions to life in a contemporary way and our diners can expect a new era of dishes, where nostalgia meets modernity. We want to inspire a new generation of chefs with our food and showcase how great British food can be. From British classics, to modern dishes and a big focus on steaks, we will be championing local produce from suppliers and artisans right on our doorstep."

Managing Director of One Hundred Knights, Matt Jones, added: “This is the very beginning for the Blk Sheep Baa & Grill brand. We have already developed a strong reputation across our portfolio and this new venture marks our ambition to become a leading casual dining operator, with a robust recognisable brand and a proven business model of scalability, set for rapid expansion within the North West over the next five years.

“The Plassey was the obvious choice for our first Blk Sheep opening, located in North Wales, with a dense community catchment and a busy throng of holiday park visitors throughout the year. The restaurant has already been refurbished to an extremely high standard and fits the Blk Sheep brand perfectly. We look forward to opening the doors next month and continuing the next chapter of the One Hundred Knights story.”

It’s a fantastic opportunity for all involved and we are very much looking forward to a new dining experience launching here at The Plassey for our local and holiday park guests alike.

“With their values focusing on quality homegrown produce together with offering excellent levels of service in a 5-star environment that all the family can enjoy, it firmly fits well with what the Plassey experience is all about. Exciting times ahead!”
