The idea for Mold Kitchen Studio started 18 months ago when now co-directors Dave Evans and Robert Hamlett (both kitchen specialists) met for a coffee to discuss their frustrations of working in the mass produced market.

Several coffees later, and after a lot of huffing and puffing, a vision for the new studio was formed. Their vision is centred on creating a business focussed on quality and personalised approaches to kitchen design, sales and installation.

Dave Evans said: “The move away from the mass produced and prescriptive retail world, means that the team can really listen to the needs of each individual customer, and we can personalise the design in accordance with their preferences.

"Furthermore, the team responding to the customer’s initial contact will be the same team designing, selling, installing the end product, and providing any aftercare needs.

"There will be no call centres, no being passed from pillar to post, and no unrealistic promises.”

The Leader:

Robert Hamlett added: “The team’s vision of establishing a business focussing on a quality and human approach meant that Mold was the natural preferred location.

"Unlike many areas, Mold has maintained a vibrant town centre, with high footfall, and a strong sense of community.

"The mayor's support for new businesses is apparent, and this combined by the welcoming approach of existing businesses, has confirmed that Mold was the perfect choice. In turn, Mold Kitchen Studio has reached out to other local business and initiatives to form supply partnerships.

"We are excited to open our studio doors and look forward to meeting customers.”

The Leader:

Mayor of Mold, Councillor Sarah Taylor, said: “I was delighted to be asked to officially open Mold Kitchen Studio, I have been popping in regularly over the last few months as the team have been preparing the studio for opening and it is great to see it all come together.

"The kitchen displays look great and there are some fantastic space saving features as well.

"It was great to hear that the studio will also be selling small kitchen appliances and white goods in the near future, so even if you don’t want a new kitchen it is still definitely worth popping in to see what else they have on sale, although don’t be surprised if you walk out of there with a new kitchen as they are impressive.”
