ACTON PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL, Wrexham
Staff at the school put the emphasis on safety, when they welcomed back pupils for the start of the new term.
Deputy headteacher Sue Lloyd said: "They really have shown resilience and a determination to succeed.
"We are so proud about how smart the children looked and how eager they are to learn."
It was a very new experience for the school's nursery children but they have already been busy playing, making new friends and adapting well to their new learning environment.
Mrs Lloyd also praised staff, who have worked to plan engaging topics to support the children's skill development.
Staff are looking forward to see the children flourish as they approach the full implementation of the new Welsh curriculum in September 2022.
YSGOL TY FFYNNON, Shotton
On Friday, the School Council organised cake stalls around school to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
