THE majority of adults across both Wrexham and Flintshire have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, figures reveal.

Combined Public Health Wales data shows almost 200,000 people aged 18 and over in two county areas have been given both doses of a vaccine up to September 19.

In Flintshire, this number stands at 106,711 of the 110,955 people who have been given at least one jab – 89 per cent of the over-18 population.

Meanwhile, in Wrexham, the figure sits at 91,431 of the 95,645 people who have been given at least one jab – 87% of the over-18 population.

Figures on second doses for each age group in Flintshire show:

• 18 to 29 – 14,945 administered (74%)

• 30 to 39 – 13,928 administered (71%)

• 40 to 49 – 16,005 administered (83%)

• 50 to 54 – 10,683 administered (90%)

• 55 to 59 – 10,701 administered (91%)

• 60 to 64 – 9,210 administered (92%)

• 65 to 69 – 8,101 administered (95%)

• 70 to 74 – 9,121 administered (96%)

• 75 to 79 – 6,316 administered (97%)

• 80 and over – 7,701 administered (96%)

Figures on second doses for each age group in Wrexham show:

• 18 to 29 – 12,582 administered (68%)

• 30 to 39 – 13,267 administered (71%)

• 40 to 49 – 14,474 administered (82%)

• 50 to 54 – 9,269 administered (89%)

• 55 to 59 – 8,832 administered (91%)

• 60 to 64 – 7,608 administered (93%)

• 65 to 69 – 6,947 administered (95%)

• 70 to 74 – 7,118 administered (96%)

• 75 to 79 – 5,132 administered (97%)

• 80 and over – 6,202 administered (96%)

Across Wales, 2.2 million people have had both doses, 85% of the over-16 population, and 2.4 million (91%) have had at least one dose.

The rates have been updated using recently released 2020 mid-year population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.

Vaccinations are being given at 546 locations across Wales, including at 360 GP surgeries, 41 vaccination centres and 35 hospitals.
