ORGANISERS of a cocktail week in Chester are offering the chance to win a year's worth of drinks.

The Cocktail Week Co is holding Chester Cocktail Week from September 20-26, with various events being held as part of this.

A number of hospitality venues across the city are working together as part of Chester Cocktail Week, which has been set up to boost the local economy in what has been a challenging time for businesses, residents and visitors to the city alike.

Wristbands are on sale for £5, which will offer the wearer the opportunity to get £10 off tickets to all Cocktail Week events, where they will be able to sample a range of unique cocktails created especially for the week.

There is also a chance to enter a competition to win a year's worth of cocktails, with 52 vouchers for two cocktails which can be used in venues across Chester. The contest is free to enter via www.chester-cocktailweek.com.

Venues involved in the week include Prohibition, The Suburbs, Exotic Booze Club, Liquor & Co and Bar Lounge.

Wristband holders will also be offered deals from non-hospitality businesses during the week, from retailers to hair and beauty salons and restaurants.

Cocktail fans can attend a number of pop-up events including masterclasses by distillers, gin tastings, along with live music from Jonathan Nickoll, who is the resident pianist at the American Bar at London’s Savoy Hotel, plus a bartender’s brunch for hospitality workers.

Organisers have also partnered with So Let’s Talk, mental health advocates for the hospitality industry, who will be running a series of seminars for workers as part of the events calendar.

The Cocktail Week Co have also been giving out free wristbands to key workers as a thank you for their hard work in keeping the country going through out the Covid pandemic.

James Nicolian, founder of The Cocktail Week Co, said: “We’re pleased to create an affordable opportunity for guests to rediscover their city and check out new venues, and revisit their old favourites whilst learning about the craft of cocktail culture. What a great way to enjoy Chester again!”

The Cocktail Week Co is also launching a “Drinks for Good” initiative, donating 50p from every wristband sold to The One Foundation, who help eradicate water poverty in the world’s poorest communities.
