POLICE are to monitor anti-social behaviour concerns taking place at a Flintshire school, it has been said.

PC Manus Sheridan released a note to residents via the North Wales Police Community Alert on the matter this week.

"I have received information regarding anti-social behaviour at Ysgol Yr Esgob, Caerwys, taking place after school hours," PC Sheridan said.

"I'm writing to you via the community alert, to try to get the word out there into the community.

"Anti-social behaviour at schools causes distress to pupils and costs to their already stretched budgets. "I’m sure no one in the community of Caerwys would tolerate the school being the victim of anti-social behaviour, so I ask the residents to be aware of what their young people are up to and where they are going.

"If residents see anything going on at the school, I would encourage you to report it to the police.

"As the school community police officer for Ysgol Yr Esgob, I will monitor the situation, and my colleagues and I will deal with any identified suspects appropriately."
