IF you're out and about on the roads across Wrexham and Flintshire over the next week, then here's the latest roadworks round-up.

Delays are said to be likely, so make sure you leave plenty of time for your journey.

Wrexham roadworks round-up

There's a lane closure currently in place outside 69 Watery Road, Wrexham, due to ongoing roadworks. These are being carried out by Hafren Dyfrdwy and continue until December 10.

There will also be a lane closure in operation from September 13-27 at Holt Road in Wrexham, due to road resurfacing work carried out by Wrexham Council.

Work will also be carried out by Hafren Dyfrdwy on Tapley Avenue in Wrexham, with a road closure in place until September 14.

Hafren Dyfrdwy will also be carrying out work on Park Avenue, Wrexham, until September 17, with two way traffic lights in operation.

The Welsh Government will be carrying out work on the southbound offslip and northbound onslip of junction five on the A483. This work will take place overnight, with a road closure in place from 7pm on September 10 to 6am on September 11.

There'll also be an overnight lane closure between junction 5 and junction 6 northbound on the A483, running from 7pm on September 10 - 6am on September 11. This is also Welsh Government roadworks.

The Welsh Government will also be carrying out work between junction 5 and junction 2 on the A483 southbound, with a lane closure in place between 8pm and 6am overnight on September 9-10.

Flintshire roadworks round-up

There is a road closure on Wared Drive, Northop Hall, until 11.59pm on September 13, due to work being carried out by SP Energy Networks.

There will be a temporary road closure in place on Connah's Quay Parade between 11.30am and 12.30pm on September 12, for a street party to take place.

From September 13-15, Wales and West Utilities will be carrying out work on Wepre Drive, Connah's Quay, with traffic controls in place and delays likely.

High Street in Connah's Quay at the junction of Wepre Drive will have roadworks and traffic control in place from September 13-15, due to work being carried out by Wales and West Utilities.

Chester Road in Sandycroft will also be subject to roadworks on September 12, due to work being carried out by Welsh Water, with traffic lights in operation.

Delays are said to be possible on Globe Way in Buckley from September 13-15, due to Welsh Water carrying out work, with traffic lights in operation and delays possible.

Meanwhile, a section of Church Road in Buckley will be closed on September 12 for a period of between one and five days, depending on when Welsh Water complete the work. Diversions will be in place, with pedestrian access still available.

Roadworks are ongoing at Dirty Mile in Drury, with traffic lights in operation due to a Network Rail operation which includes bridge repairs. The work takes place overnight from 9pm-7am, Monday to Friday. This work is due to be completed by September 24.

In Penymynydd, Hafren Dyfrdwy will be carrying out work from the A550 Penymynydd Roundabout to the Penyffordd Roundabout, by Churchfield Farm, with traffic lights in operation from September 13-15.

And in Higher Kinnerton, Network Plus will be carrying out work on Sandy Lane between its junctions with Bennett's Lane and Main Road, which is a distance of around 56 metres. This starts on September 15 and will take from three to five days. Diversions will be in place.

Expect delays on Broughton Hall Road in Broughton on September 16, due to work being carried out by Welsh Water, with traffic lights in operation.

In Mold, BT Openreach will be carrying out work on King Street, with a lane closure in place from September 16-17.

And Ash Grove in Mold by Mold Community Hospital will be affected by BT Openreach work on September 12, with traffic lights in operation.
