A PAYMENT to prevent "legal action" for calling into question Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's commitment to Wrexham AFC has been paid in full - in delicious biscuits.

Last month, the Reds' co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds made a hilarious response after an Apple TV+ show name-checked Rob and Ryan.

During a recent episode of Ted Lasso, Jeremy Swift’s character Higgins referenced Rob and Ryan's ownership of Wrexham AFC.

Ryan and Rob shared their hilarious response on social media, demanding two large boxes of biscuits as well as an apology.

The biscuits have now been delivered to The Racecourse - 50 boxes of them!

A little later that anticipated as the letter demanded two boxes before the start of the season on August 21 - but with 48 boxes over what was asked for, who is going to quibble?

The club tweeted: "A man of his word, thanks @TedLasso!

"Better late than never, 50 boxes of forgiveness are gratefully accepted.

"P.s, tell Colin, mae'r ddraig Gymreig yn gryf ynddo!"󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Last month, the note, sent from the desk of RR McREYNOLDS reads: “Dear Apple TV+

“It has come to our attention that in a recent episode of Ted Lasso, our very real ownership of Wrexham AFC was called into question by an otherwise beloved character named ‘Higgins’.

“While we hold the incomparable Jeremy Swift in no ill regard and are honoured to be mentioned on the platform that brought us high-quality programming ranging from Mythic Quest season one and Mythic Quest season two, we must insist that you cease and desist from the casting of any doubt regarding our commitment to the club, the fans and the entire Wrexham community."

It added: “To avoid legal action please send 2 LARGE boxes of Ted Lasso’s biscuits to the Racecourse Ground, Mold Rd, Wrexham LL11 2AH, United Kingdom before the Wrexham AFC season begins on Saturday, August 21 at 3pm.

“Believe! Rob & Ryan”.

Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis, is about an American football coach who is hired to manage a professional team in England, despite having no experience of "soccer".

The show has started its second season on Apple TV+.

The streaming channel is also the home of Rob's latest series Mythic Quest.
