PLANS have been approved to remove what remains of the Barclays Bank in Flint
The request was given the green light by Flintshire Council to remove the existing fascia sign, protruding boxing and projecting Barclay's Signage, allow for new fascia to be installed.
The existing ATM will be removed. The opening will be infill with render to match existing.
The Leader previously reported that the chain, based off the town’s main shopping strip on Church Street, would be closing its doors in April 2021.
The nearest Barclays branches that remain open after Flint shuts will be on Mold (High St) or a further 12 miles away in Chester (Werburgh St).
At present, it is unclear what will go in its place.
