EMERGENCY services were called to a "serious" collision near Llandegla.
The incident occurred on A542 on Sunday, leaving the road between the Horseshoe Pass and the Llandegla roundabout closed in both directions for several hours.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.38pm to a road traffic collision on the A542 near Llandegla.
"We responded with an air ambulance and an adult male has been airlifted to to the major trauma centre at Stoke Hospital."
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for witnesses to an RTC [Road Traffic Collision] at 2.30pm today on the A542 near Llangollen, involving a silver Suzuki Swift and a motorcycle.
"The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries."
