REECE HALL-JOHNSON and Jamie Reckord are the latest players to sign new deals at The Racecourse.

Hall-Johnson has penned a two year contract and fellow full-back Reckord has put pen to paper on a one year extension with the option for a further season.

After joining Wrexham from Northampton Town last summer, Hall-Johnson, 26, scored seven goals in 33 National League appearances.

Hall-Johnson told the official club website: “I’m really pleased. The club are going in the right direction with the new ownership and I’m looking forward to being part of it.

“There’s always more you can add to your game, but I set my targets and chipping in with goals again would be great, and hopefully I can help us to push on and get up the leagues.

“I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans. It will be massive, with such a massive fanbase. It’s been a bit disappointing not to play in front of them so far but it will be unbelievable to walk out there and see the stadium packed.”

Reckord, 29, another player who was brought in ahead of the 2020-21 season from Solihull Moors, also played 33 league games during his first campaign at The Racecourse, scoring two goals.

He said: “I’m happy to be back another year. I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans and hopefully pushing on.

“A club like Wrexham, with the amount of fans and how passionate they are… when they get behind the club, you’ve seen in the past how it can help them get results.

“I want to play as many games as I can next season, do well for the club and hopefully win this league. I want to get out of this league and I know everyone at this club does too.”

Hall-Johnson and Reckord join Player of the Season Luke Young and goalkeepers Rob Lainton and Christian Dibble in committing their futures.

Cameron Green and Devonte Redmond have also been offered new deals while Jordan Davies, Jordan Ponticelli, Dior Angus, Max Cleworth, Jake Bickerstaff and Ryan Austin are already under contract for the 2021-22 campaign.
