NEARLY half of adults in Wrexham and Flintshire have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.

Public Health Wales data shows 49,655 people in Wrexham aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to June 6 – 46% of the area's age group.

They make up part of the 86,050 people who have been given at least one jab – 79% of the over-18 population.

Figures on second doses for each age group in Wrexham show:

• 18 to 29 – 2,340 administered (13%)

• 30 to 39 – 3,376 administered (18%)

• 40 to 49 – 4,392 administered (25%)

• 50 to 54 – 4,542 administered (44%)

• 55 to 59 – 5,122 administered (53%)

• 60 to 64 – 4,961 administered (61%)

• 65 to 69 – 6,574 administered (90%)

• 70 to 74 – 6,982 administered (94%)

• 75 to 79 – 5,108 administered (95%)

• 80 and over – 6,258 administered (95%)

In Flintshire, 55,201 people aged 18 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to June 6 – 45% of the area's age group.

They make up part of the 99,404 people who have been given at least one jab – 80% of the over-18 population.

Figures on second doses for each age group in Flintshire show:

• 18 to 29 – 1,893 administered (10%)

• 30 to 39 – 2,836 administered (15%)

• 40 to 49 – 4,163 administered (22%)

• 50 to 54 – 4,144 administered (35%)

• 55 to 59 – 5,358 administered (46%)

• 60 to 64 – 6,554 administered (66%)

• 65 to 69 – 7,724 administered (91%)

• 70 to 74 – 8,817 administered (93%)

• 75 to 79 – 6,149 administered (94%)

• 80 and over – 7,563 administered (92%)

Across Wales, 1.3 million people have had both doses, 48% of the over-16 population, and 2.2 million (84%) have had at least one dose.

Vaccinations are being given at 546 locations across Wales, including at 360 GP surgeries, 41 vaccination centres and 35 hospitals.

The Welsh Government aims for all adults to have been offered a vaccine by the end of July.
