NEW figures reveal just how many people over 50 in Wrexham and Flintshire have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, figures reveal.

Public Health Wales data shows 34,847 people in Wrexham aged 50 and over have been given both doses of a vaccine up to May 30 – 63 per cent of the area's age group.

They make up part of the 42,612 people who have been given at least one jab – 92 per cent of the over-50 population.

Meanwhile, in Flintshire, 42,945 people over 50s have been given both doses of a vaccine up to May 30 – 65 per cent of the area's age group.

They make up part of the 60,543 people who have been given at least one jab – 91 per cent of the over-50 population.

• 18 to 29 – 1,689 administered (13 per cent)

• 30 to 39 – 2,252 administered (20 per cent)

• 40 to 49 – 3,297 administered (29 per cent)

• 50 to 54 – 3,213 administered (44 per cent)

• 55 to 59 – 4,209 administered (55 per cent)

• 60 to 64 – 4,530 administered (66 per cent)

• 65 to 69 – 5,579 administered (91 per cent)

• 70 to 74 – 6,353 administered (94 per cent)

• 75 to 79 – 4,564 administered (94 per cent)

• 80 and over – 5,985 administered (94 per cent)

• 18 to 29 – 1,597 administered (8%)

• 30 to 39 – 2,346 administered (12%)

• 40 to 49 – 3,318 administered (18%)

Across Wales, 1.1 million people have had both doses, 43 per cent of the over-16 population, and 2.1 million (83 per cent) have had at least one dose.

Vaccinations are being given at 546 locations across Wales, including at 360 GPs' surgeries, 41 vaccination centres and 35 hospitals.

The Welsh Government aims for all adults to have been offered a vaccine by the end of July.
