NEW data reveals what the most reported crimes across Holywell were in April.

In its most recent data set, Police.UK has confirmed dozens of crimes were reported throughout the market town of Holywell and neighbouring Greenfield that month.

Almost 140 crimes were reported across Holywell & Greenfield in April 2021. This includes the three separate policing wards in the town – namely Holywell Central, East and West as well as the Greenfield ward.

Here, we break down what was reported by YOU:

The least crimes were reported in Holywell East, where 14 in total were logged with the police.

• The most reported was anti-social behaviour with eight reports

• Next, problems with violence and sexual offences were reported four times

• Finally, there was one report of criminal damage and another for a theft

Other categories included one criminal offence.

Compared to last April, a month into the national coronavirus lockdown, criminals were slightly more active in the area as police received 18 reports in 2020.

Last year, police dealt with more reports of violence and sexual offences (8) but less anti-social behaviour (5).

They handled cases of public order offences (2) as well as a drug-related offence (1).

Moving over to Greenfield, there was a slight increase in crime reported [24] in this part of the town than the quietest area.

• Next, problems with anti-social behaviour were reported seven times

• Finally, two reports of vehicle crime were within the local reports

The other categories include a report of shoplifting and another for a public order offence.

Twelve months prior, criminals were a bit quieter in the area as police received 20 reports overall for similar issues.

These included violence and sexual offences (10), anti-social behaviour (3).

Officers responded to two burglaries - as well as a drug-related crime, criminal damage, public order offence and a theft.

Next comes Holywell West, were residents reported 34 crimes to police officers.

• Next, problems with anti-social behaviour were reported six times

• Finally, four reports of public order offences were within the local reports

Other categories include three counts of shoplifting, two thefts and a report each for drug-related crime, criminal damage and vehicle crime.

A year ago, criminals were a little bit quieter as police received 28 reports overall for similar issues but on a smaller scale.

These mainly included anti-social behaviour (12) and violence and sexual offences (5). They also dealt with public order offences (4) as well as three thefts and a case of criminal damage.

Finally, to Holywell Central, which comes top of the table for the four local wards.

Police were busiest in the town centre with 65 crimes in April alone.

• Finally, seven reports of criminal damage offences were within the local reports

Other categories include six public order offences, three shoplifting cases and a report of vehicle crime.

A year ago, criminals were much less active in the area as police received 34 reports overall that covered similar issues.

These included anti-social behaviour as well as violence and sexual offences (both 11). They handled seven public order crimes last year along with three shoplifting reports and dealt with one person in possession of a weapon.
