A WOMAN accused of murder will stand trial later this year.
Emma Berry, of Dock Road in Connah's Quay, appeared via video link at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday (May 26) from HMP Styal.
The 46-year-old was charged with the murder of local man Dean Bennett.
Solicitors said that they anticipate Berry’s trial will last for up to one week, with a provisional start date set for December 6, 2021, at Mold Crown Court.
No formal plea was taken at the brief five-minute hearing on Wednesday.
She will make a third court appearance on August 31 ahead of the trial where the charge of murder will be put to her at a plea and trial preparation hearing.
In the meantime, Judge Rhys Rowlands ordered that Berry continues to be remanded in custody.
