Police warn that scammers have been targeting Wrexham & Flintshire residents with Facebook Marketplace scheme.
SCAMMERS are once again targeting social media users
The Leader previously reported that police were warning people selling items on Facebook Marketplace to be vigilant after scams were reported in the Flintshire and Wrexham areas.
Once again, officers are reminding social media users to keep an eye on any potential scams.
Officers from the Community Eastern Safety scheme said: "Scammers are targeting items sold on Facebook and other platforms in our area.
"They target valuable items by using the online banking app. Payment is shown as taken place.
"They leave with the goods. Payment does not take place and seller is scammed."
