A FLINTSHIRE primary school will be closed today due to 'significant flooding'.
Queensferry Primary School confirmed they will be closed on May 17 due to flooding throughout the building.
The building will need to be assessed to ensure it is safe for children to return.
This weekend saw torrential downpours causing some flooding on major roads in the county.
The weather is unfortunately not likely to ease up as rain is forecasted for the rest of the week.
A spokesman said: "School is closed today due to significant flooding throughout the building. Apologies for the short notice but we will need to have the building assessed to ensure it is safe for children to return."
