WREXHAM Council has issued the latest list of road closures within the county borough which will affect motorists.

Motorists will be prohibited from using Chapel Street in Penycae from its junction with Delph Road in a W. direction for a distance of 420m to its junction with Bridge Street.

This will be effective from May 17 and will enable Wrexham Council to undertake carriageway resurfacing.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Pen-y-Bryn Road, Bowers Road, Bethania Road and Delph Road and will be signposted.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The prohibition is expected to last for 12 days, or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
