A WREXHAM woman has been handed a community order and told to pay compensation after she admitted assaulting a police officer.
Lindsey Jayne Griffiths, of Gwenfro, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old admitted that on April 1 at the North Wales Police Easter Command and Custody Facility in Llay, she assaulted PC Chloe Garrod by beating her.
Griffiths was made the subject of a community order requiring her to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
She was also ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85.
