FIREFIGHTERS were called out to extinguish a blaze on Llay Industrial Estate.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a call was received about the incident shortly before 9.40pm on Wednesday.
Initially reported as a building fire, the incident saw two crews attend.
On arrival it was discovered that the fire was a controlled burn involving "old chairs" and that it was attended.
But due to the drifting smoke, the person attending was advised it should be put out.
One crew remained to extinguish the flames.
