A PERSON has been taken to hospital after their vehicle was flipped over on a Flintshire road.

North Wales Police were called at 8.15am today (Tuesday) following the crash on the eastbound carriageway of the A548 at Ffynnongroew.

A spokesman confirmed that the road was closed whilst the vehicle is recovered.

As of 12.45pm, it was confirmed that the road was no longer blocked off.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called this morning, Tuesday, May 4, at approximately 8.11am to reports of a road traffic accident involving an overturned vehicle at Ffynnongroyw, Flintshire.

“We attended scene with one emergency ambulance and one person was conveyed to Wrexham's Maelor Hospital for further treatment."
